A university-wide centre helping students and academic staff write with clarity, integrity, confidence, and disciplinary purpose.
The UCU Writing Centre equips writers to communicate clearly, ethically, and confidently in academic, professional, and public life.
The centre officially opened in August 2022 as a university-wide initiative dedicated to improving writing and study skills through interactive, student-centred support. It is located within the Main University Library for easy access, but serves the wider Uganda Christian University community.
Instead of treating writing support as last-minute proofreading, the centre teaches writers to understand assignments, shape arguments, work with evidence, revise deliberately, cite responsibly, and keep moving when writing becomes difficult.
